FontoXML DITA For Small Teams is now free!
Good news: the FontoXML DITA 1.3 editor is now available for anyone. No more 30-day trial, no costs, no functional limitations. Just log in with Google Drive or Microsoft OneDrive and you’re good to go.
New feature: reply to comments
Even more good news: we are pleased to announce the long-awaited reply to comments feature ! You can now finally have endless discussions about the perfect way to write, structure and semantically enrich your content.
In order to support this functionality, we switched our default commenting system from DITA’s
<draft-comment> to our own “annotations”. This also introduces another small improvement: you can now comment on ranges of content you select.
Draft-comments can still be viewed, but all new comments will be stored as annotations.
Support for DITA Learning & training domain
You are never too old to learn something new. It is now possible to open, create and edit DITA learning & training content in Fonto.
CMIS and WebDav support extended and moved
Next to the existing support for WebDAV, FontoXML now also offers integrations based on the CMIS standard (read all about it on the official [CMIS documentation website] (http://docs.oasis-open.org/cmis/CMIS/v1.1/CMIS-v1.1.html) ).
Integrations based on WebDAV or CMIS allow organizations to use FontoXML with a ©CMS supporting any of these standards - which are most of the CMSs on the market. WebDAV and CMIS support is available for the standard edition of FontoXML (i.e. the DITA or JATS edition), or a Custom configuration. For the free edition of FontoXML, only OneDrive or Google Drive access are available.
